WHAT IS FEAPO?

The Federation of Enterprise Architecture Professional Organizations (FEAPO) is an association of professional organizations whose members have an active interest in the practice and professionalism of Enterprise Architecture.

WHY FEAPO?

FEAPO provides a forum to facilitate collaboration and coordination of activities among Enterprise Architecture (EA) related professional organizations, to work toward a better integrated community and “one face” for the advancement of the practice and profession of Enterprise Architecture. The advent of FEAPO has been welcomed the world over because there is a strong desire among practitioners and organizations in many countries to professionalize and advance the field of enterprise architecture.

WHAT DOES FEAPO DO?

FEAPO encourages and enables the Enterprise Architecture community to undertake cross organizational activities to recognize, discuss, professionalize, and otherwise advance the discipline of Enterprise Architecture.

KEY MESSAGE FOR ENTERPRISE ARCHITECTURE PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS

FEAPO provides a mechanism for the continued communication and collaboration between the many enterprise architecture related professional organizations around the globe.

FEAPO provides a forum for member organizations to present the work of their respective organizations to a larger community for further comment, evolution, and eventual recognition. By providing this mechanism across the industry, membership in FEAPO presents the opportunity for recognition and adoption of standards, bodies of knowledge, certifications, model curriculums, and other items of interest to the larger enterprise architecture community.

As an example of how this comment, review, evolution, and recognition process may function, FEAPO may engage member organizations in a participatory public process to identify applicable standards, gaps in currently available standards, and priorities for new standardization activities within the evolving profession. Collaborating with the enterprise architecture community, as represented by the FEAPO member organizations, FEAPO categorizes priority actions which define challenges and objectives for developing consistency across the profession.
